Abstract

1529791 Roller constructions MAHDLO Ltd 10 Oct 1975 [10 July 1974] 30487/74 Heading A1B [Also in Division B7] A garden barrow comprises at least one ground engaging hollow plastics roller above which, in use, is positioned an open-topped container, and a support means whereby the barrow can be stood with the container above the roller(s). As shown in Fig. 1, the roller 1 may have a toothed surface for spiking or aerating a lawn. The roller may have a closable opening for inserting water or sand as added weight for rolling. A battery 13 operating a motor (not shown) may drive the roller by a wheel 14. A further roller 27, in the form of a spray bar or a solids spreader, may be rotatably mounted on brackets 15, 16 and fed via tube 18 from container 5. Also roller 27 may be replaced by a lawn mower. Various other implements, such as a hedge cutter, are intended to be carried by the barrow and used therewith. In another embodiment Fig. 3 rollers 9a, 9b are mounted on a common axle 10. Adjustable support wheels (21) Fig. 2 (not shown) may be replaced by a lawn spiking attachment or a liquid spreader.
