1528156 Travelling-wave tubes ENGLISH ELECTRIC VALVE CO Ltd 19 Dec 1975 [8 March 1975] 9909/75 Addition to 1451956 Heading H1D The fundamental coupled-cavity travelling- wave tube disclosed in the parent Specification is modified by the incorporation of ferromagnetic axial extensions 5 at the inner ends of the ferromagnetic plates 1 of the clover-leaf slow-wave structure, to increase the peak magnetic field of the periodic permanent magnet focusing system at the beam path. To preserve electrical symmetry, the corresponding copper plates 4 are provided with similar copper axial extensions 10.
