Abstract

1528139 Powder compaction mill BRITISH STEEL CORP 23 Dec 1976 [31 Dec 1975] 53347/75 Heading B5A A metal powder compaction mill comprising a feed hopper 4 and rolls 1, 2 includes an endless belt assembly at each end of the rolls for closing off the roll nip, with means for displacing the assembly horizontally relative the nip so that laterally displaced portions of each belt are brought successively into position at the respective end of the nip. Each assembly comprises a framework 5, pulleys 6 and a belt 7, mounted by a pin 10 in a support block 8. An air cylinder or screw acts against the framework to urge a belt portion 11 into engagement with the roll ends.
