1527037 Feeding bottles to machines; rotary conveyers VICKERS Ltd 25 March 1977 [29 March 1976] 12616/76 Headings B8T and B8A Starwheel 2 feeds bottles to supports 4 to supply the operating heads 10 of, e.g. a rotary filling or capping machine, each support 4 moving upwards through the respective pocket of the starwheel until the bottle held thereby is engaged with the respective operating head and the star wheel and corresponding guide 3 are disengaged from the bottle. Continuous support is thus ensured for the bottle. A similar arrangement is provided to move the bottles from the operating heads into pockets of another star wheel.
