Abstract

1525493 Frequency detectors; pulse frequency changing DUCELLIER ET CIE 21 Oct 1975 [24 Oct 1974] 43070/75 Headings H3A and H3T [Also in Division G1] In a shaft angular encoder (see Division G1) a tachometric generator 4, in use, receives a first pulse train at a transistor 28 and through a pair of transistors 18, 25 coupled by a filtering circuit 21, 23, 24 produces a constant current output which is an analogue of the frequency of the pulse train. The output is fed to an oscillator stage 5 wherein a capacitor 7 is periodically charged and discharged to provide a second pulse train at the output of the oscillator stage 5. The values of the circuitry of the oscillator stage 5 are such that the frequency of the second pulse train is higher than and a multiple of the first pulse train. As shown the first base 13 of transistor 6 is utilized in the pulse shaping circuit. Alternatively the other base of transistor 6 may be used (Fig, 3, not shown). In a further embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown) pulses are taken directly from the capacitor 7 and amplified.
