Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the stability of operation of internal combustion engine by making the ignition at a certain advance angle from a reference angle signal during start-up and normal operation, and in accordance with the time from the reference angle signal in other engine operation modes.
CONSTITUTION: The reference angle signal corresponding to the required advance angle value obtained on idling is generated by a reference angle sensor 8, compensated by a compensator circuit 9 and fed as ignition signal via a change-over circuit 7. A register 6 generates the signal representing the time value converted from optimum ignition advance angle value corresponding to revolutions and negative suction pressure. A change-over circuit 7 feeds out the output of the compensator circuit 9 as ignition signal on engine cracking or idling and the output of the register 6 as ignition signal when another mode of operation is underway.
