Abstract

1524909 Roller mills comminuting apparatus ALPINE AG 2 June 1976 [12 June 1975] 22857/76 Heading B2A A comminuting apparatus comprises a comminuting roll 2 and a toothed feed roll 10 Fig. 2 so arranged as to force rubbish e.g. packages 19 into the nip of the comminuting roll. The roll 2 cooperates with a bed knife. The feed in passage may include a shaping wall (15a) Fig. 3, (not shown), and the feed roller may include a comb-like scraper 20 Fig. 4, and may have teeth 13 with leading edges in the form of rearwardlycurved spinals of increasing pitch with sharp tips Fig. 5. Two comminuting rollers may be used Fig. 6, not shown, and to widen the capacity two contra-rotating. Feed rollers 10, 10a may compress bulky rubbish for feed into the nip of a pair of comminuting rollers 2, 2a Fig. 7.
