Abstract

1524848 Multiple pane SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 10 Dec 1975 [11 Dec 1974] 50620/75 Heading C1M A multiple pane comprises at least two transparent or translucid sheets, separated at their edges by a spacer with a viscosity, after an eight minute test, at 40‹ C. of at least 115‹ Mooney. The spacer composition may be a mixture of polyisobutylene and butyl rubber with optional additions of carbon black, levilite and molecular sieve. The spacer may be extruded on to the sheet at an angle of 15-45 degrees thereto possibly by means of the apparatus disclosed and claimed in Specification 1,524,849.
