Abstract
1524842 Mirrors; stands J J FITCHETT 12 Sept 1975 [3 March 1975] 8712/75 Headings A4H and A4V A toiletry mirror appliance comprises a flexible stayput tube 1, e.g. of spiral metal construction, one end of which is rigidly connected to locating means and the other end of which is rotatably connected to a mirror-carrying head 3, head 3 being rotatable relative to a cap 2 about the axis of a screw 5 against the action of a friction washer 4. The head 3 is urged towards cap 2 by a compression spring 7, the pressure of which is pre-set by screw 5. The mirror is carried by a back 10 urged towards head 3 by a compression screw 12 in sliding contact with the back 10 and passing through bores in back 10 and head 3 and locked by nuts 14 and set screw 15. The mirror is rotatable relative to head 3 about axis 12 against a friction washer 11. The locating means comprises a second cap fixed on tube 1 and ridgidly connected to a clamp (21) or a floor stand (24). Clamp (21) may be clamped to a floor stand (23), or to a rail of a hospital bed or wheel chair, or to a triangle (22) which can be placed under a bed mattress.
