Abstract

152,362. Beenie, A. Feb. 6, 1918, [Convention date]. Fastening.-Relates to means for fastening a rug on a horse or other animal by means internal to the rug. To one side C of the rug is attached a flank strap 1 which is connected, say bv a ring 2, at its other end to a strap 3 provided with a snap hook 3<c> for attachment to a suitable breast member such as the fastener G' for the rug. The strap 3 passes between the front legs of the animal and is supported by carriers or straps 5, 7. A flank strap 4 attached to the other side of the ring is connected by a snap hook to the ring 2. The two flank straps fit around the small of the belly so as to prevent any forward movement of the rug. The strap H connecting the rear edges of the rug has a slide fastening H' which has no tongue.
