Abstract

A passive regenerator, requiring no external power supply, for binary signals of a specified clock frequency is proposed. A mismatched, adjustable impedance (4) is connected to a transmission line (3) via a delay line (2), and the delay is half a clock interval or a multiple thereof. The pulse which is reflected because of the mismatch is subtracted from the original pulse, which reduces the signal content in the pulse extension and therefore the pulse distortion. <IMAGE>
