Abstract

The guide tooth for the weft-insertion member of a weaving machine consists of plastic (35), for example polyamide, and contains a steel insert (21) which, in the foot (12), projects beyond the plastic material (35) in the edge regions at (26, 27, 28, 32). This ensures that the guide tooth can be fastened easily and securely to the metallic edges (26, 27, 28) of the foot (12), for example by means of clamping screws (29), whilst, on the other hand, in the head part (11), it is possible to make use of the property of the plastic that no lubrication is necessary there and no abrasion and therefore no soiling of the fabric occur. <IMAGE>
