1521786 Pulverizing ice JUPITER GmbH KUCHENMASCHINENFABRIK 7 May 1976 [13 May 1975] 18929/76 Heading A4C An ice pulverizer consists of a cylindrical housing 2 containing a shaft 9 formed with teeth 10 arranged in a helix, the shaft being rotated by a hand crank or an electric motor via a plastics gear 11 located by a square section 12, the opposite end of the shaft retaining a pin 14 on which is non- rotatably mounted a cutter plate 6 and which is journalled in a perforated plate 4 retained by a cap 5 screwed on to the housing. The teeth each have a side edge extending along a radial plane of the shaft and a leading edge in a plane at 70 to 80 degrees thereto. The envelope of all the teeth is a truncated core and longitudinal ridges 22 are formed on the inner surface of the housing.
