Abstract
1519146 Electrically-illuminated jewellery M S R SMITH 17 Nov 1975 [26 Nov 1974] 51109/74 Heading A3H The lamps or light-emitting diodes of electrically-illuminated jewellery are supplied with high current pulses of short duration to illuminate them alternating with prolonged low current periods insufficient for illumination, by an integrated solid state circuit directly or via a transistor relay. Current may flow for 1/10<SP>th</SP> sec and be at a very low value for 5 sec, to reduce current consumption. The cycle is repeated continuously though not necessarily accurately. 1519152 Stabilising sloping ground by drainage ENPACK (HONG KONG) Ltd 19 June 1975 26179/75 Heading A1B [Also in Division El] A drain formed in sloping land comprises a longitudinally slotted sleeve 6 in a horizontal or upwardly inclined hole, a seal 9 between the sleeve and mouth of the hole and an impermeable invert between the sleeve and the ground 1 around the hole and below the level of slots 7 to either side of the longitudinal axis of the sleeve. A hose 11 delivers fluid grout, which sets to give the impermeable invert, to each slot 7 in the sleeve bottom in turn working inwardly along the hole. Excess grout in the sleeve is removed by a wire brush and flushing with water. Blocks 12 position the sleeve in the hole and a bleeding hole 10 in seal 9 is sealed off during grouting. Slots 7 in the upper half of sleeve 6 are protected by a synthetic filter 8.
