Abstract
1518091 Dolls PALITOY Ltd 27 June 1975 [27 March 1974] 13670/74 Heading A6S Sideways pivoting of a doll's leg member 3, Fig. 5 is possible when the doll's leg has been raised from the vertical standing position of Fig. 1 to a forwardly projecting sitting position so that a hip pivot pin 11 is turned to align its end 10 with the vertical and the length of a slot 12 in a cap 6 then permits angular misalignment of a journal bearing 9 and a retainer ring 5 relative to the hip pivot pin 11. Friction facings 7, 8 on the generally vertical cap 6 and the leg member 3 are held together by a retainer ring 5 and spring clips 4 so as to be relatively rotatable by light pressure. A slot 14 in the cap 6 engages one end 15 of a vertical swivel 16 connected to a similar cap, &c. mounting the other leg of the doll. As one leg 3, &c. is swung forwards, the other is swung back via the swivel 16, &c. When the leg member 3 is in the vertical standing position of Figs. 1, 2, the narrow breadth of the slot 12 inhibits pivoting about the end 10 of the hip pivot pin 11.
