Abstract

1517615 Bearings POLYGRAPH LEIPZIG KOMBINAT FUR POLYGRAPHISCHE MASCHINEN UND AUSRUSTUNGEN VEB 28 Oct 1976 [30 Oct 1975] 44818/76 Heading F2A A bearing assembly comprises a support member 1 provided with a bore 2 receiving a bush 3 for journalling a journal 7 of a rotatable printing machine cylinder, which journal subjects the bush to a loading having a resultant F, the support member having two cavities 8 each extending parallel to the axis of the bush adjacent the bore so as to leave a radially inwardly deflectable wall 9, and a respective deflecting member 10 arranged in each cavity and operable to deflect the associated wall 9 so as to oppose the loading F. Each cavity may comprise at least three intersecting bores, the member 10 being arranged in an intermediate one of the intersecting bores. Each member 10 may comprise a cam operable by link rods, or a hollow rubber body partly encased in a metal housing and connected to a source of hydraulic fluid.
