Abstract

1517526 Flash-lamp arrays GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 13 Aug 1975 [23 Sept 1974] 33743/75 Heading G2X A flash-lamp array comprises a housing 36, 37 containing, in the named order, flash-lamps, a reflector 41, a circuit board 42 with flash sequencing circuitry, and an indicia sheet 43, the indicia facing the housing back 37 which is transparent at least in parts so that the indicia can be seen. The indicia show whether or not a lamp has been flashed. Sheet 43 is a sheet of paper or cardboard with holes corresponding to each lamp together with a sheet 48 of heat-sensitive plastics coloured with ink. The reflector and circuit board have holes 51 so that radiation from a flashed lamp reaches the plastics which melts or shrinks so that the colour is no longer visible. The lamps are connected to the circuitry, which includes radiation sensitive switches, by lead-in wires. The front 36 is preferably made opaque in the areas adjacent these wires. The front and back 36, 37 are connected by interlocking members 38.
