Abstract
151,729. Kelly, D. P. J. June 30, 1919. Two-part couplings.-In a two-part coupling, the detachable part which is coupled to the fixed coupling-part connected to the source of supply is adapted for the insertion of a switch or other control apparatus within the circuit. As shown applied to a pendent electric lamp-holder, an adapter having a plug end to fit within the lampholder and a socket end with plunger contacts to take a lamp has one of the leads k through the plug part divided and connected to terminals l, o in the side of the plug part, the terminals being connected to leads w passing out through the casing and through a cord grip v screwed thereto. The leads w are connected to a switch control apparatus or to a second lamp.
