Abstract
151,624. Todnem, G. O. G. Sept. 25, 1919, [Convention date]. Reaping-machines. - The dividers on a selfbinder for the uncut crop are provided with moving-surfaces to guide the crop to the machine. In one form, chains or belts 1 carrying blocks 20 pass round pulleys 3, the lower pulleys being supported on the shoes 5. Caps 8 on the shoes may cover the lower ends of the belts, and guides 9 may be provided at the upper ends for conducting the crop towards the machine. In another form, rods which extend from the front shoes to the body of the machine are mounted eccentrically on disks which are rotated. In a further modification, fiat belts pass round rollers on the shoes and on the machine frame, the belts moving in a vertical plane to assist the passage of the crop to the machine. Two or more dividers may be provided on the machine.
