Abstract
A solid-state electrolytic oxygen detector (10) is arranged in the combustion space (7) of the burner (6) in the region of the flame and transmits its measured values representing the carbon monoxide content of the combustion products to a control circuit (3, 11, 12) which adjusts the fuel/air quantity ratio for the burner (6). As a result, the delay between changing the state of the combustion gases and the detection of this state is virtually eliminated. <IMAGE>
