Abstract

1515274 Electric couplings ASHLEY ACCESSORIES Ltd 22 May 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 42084/74 Heading H2E An electrical device comprising a base member of electrically insulating material (Fig. 1, not shown) an elongate conducting member 16, having a screwless wire-clamping terminal 14 at one end thereof, a contact or second terminal at its opposite end, and a cover member 12. The wires are inserted through holes 7 and are trapped between terminal 14 and members 16. The end 17 of member 16 may be in the form of spring contacts for a lampholder and a bayonet shell may then be moulded integrally with the base member. The or each terminal 14 has two slots (2, Fig. 3, not shown) which divide each of its sides into three tongues (22) and the terminal is corrugated. Four groups of 3 holes each are provided for insertions of the wires.
