1514940 Solvent recovery FIBRE DRUMS Ltd 31 Oct 1975 [23 Nov 1974] 50827/74 Heading BIB In a solvent recovery plant wherein solvent is evaporated by contact with a hot liquid in container 11, sludge is guided via a funnellike bottom into a discharge pipe having two spaced-apart valves defining a sludge capture zone which can be emptied by closing the upper valve and opening the lower one, and the space between the valves is evacuated by connection 20 after the zone has been emptied of sludge and before the upper valve is reopened to avoid ingress of air into the container.
