Abstract
1514116 Analogue-to-digital converter FAIRCHILD CAMERA & INSTRUMENT CORP 15 Oct 1976 [31 Oct 1975] 42961/76 Heading H3H In an a-d converter of the type wherein the difference between two input voltage levels E IN and E RET is measured by the time taken by a reference ramp to pass between those levels, common mode noise on the inputs is isolated and used to modulate the reference ramp. The inputs may be filtered to remove common and other noise in addition but remaining common noise is isolated by either an isolating amplifier 22 or differentiating circuit and applied to the floating non-inverting input 52 of an operational amplifier integrating circuit 44, generating a ramp from stabilized source 64.
