1512491 Compositions containing an enzyme from Carica papaya LEK TOVARNA FARMACEVTSKIH IN KEMICNIH IZDELKOV 19 Feb 1976 [20 Feb 1975] 6594/76 Heading A5B [Also in Division C3] A pharmaceutical composition comprises a proteolytically active enzyme obtained by subjecting raw latex of Carica papaya to chromatography on a chromatographic material which is polymerised dextran substituted by sulphopropyl groups using Tris- HCl or phosphate buffer, e.g. papain, chymopapain, lysozyme or proteinase D, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, e.g. sodium chloride.
