Abstract

1510641 Weighing vehicles BRITISH STEEL CORP 14 Aug 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 35841/74 Heading G1W A device for weighing wheeled vehicles comprises a ramp 13, an annular loadcell 17 and a load distribution plate 18 positively located on the loadcell and having a convex upper surface proud of the ramp. The plate 18 has a projection 19 engaging the central passage of the loadcell. The loadcell includes a strain gauge connected in a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and temperature compensation is provided. A further ramp without a loadcell may be provided for supporting another wheel.
