Abstract

1510634 Valves ALBRO FILLERS & ENG CO Ltd 11 Sept 1975 [20 June 1974] 27356/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division B8] A vacuum pressure regulating valve, e.g. for use in apparatus for charging powders into containers by suction comprises a diaphragm 41 attached to a piston 49 and having a plunger 47 for engagement with a flexible tube 45 through which the suction is applied, the lower side of the diaphragm 41 being open to the pressure in an outlet 48 upstream of the tube 45. A control pressure is applied to the piston 49 through an inlet 51, the space above the piston 49 being open to atmosphere via a filter 52, and the plunger 47 is operable to balance the control pressure and the pressure in the outlet 48 across the diaphragm 41.
