Abstract
1510356 Alkoxy-oximino cycloalkenes and acid addition salts thereof ALLIED CHEMICAL CORP 5 Aug 1975 32727/75 Heading C2C 2 - Alkoxy - 3 - oximinocycloalkenes of the general formula wherein n is an integer of 2-9, and R<SP>1</SP> represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic C 1 -C 10 saturated hydrocarbyl radicals and R<SP>2</SP> represents an aliphatic C 1 -C 10 or cycloaliphatic C 5 or C 6 hydrocarbayl radical, and acid addition salts of said 2 - alkoxy - 3 - oximinocycloalkenes, are obtained by (a) reacting a ketone of the general formula with a nitrosating agent, in an inert solvent which is not a Lewis base and which has a dielectric constant of at least 12, e.g. sulfur dioxide, sulfolane, nitromethane or nitrobenzene with an alcohol of formula R<SP>2</SP>OH, and with at least one equivalent proportion of a Lewis acid, e.g. HCl, HBr, chlorosulfonic acid or boron trifluoride etherate, thereby forming the acid addition salt and when the alkene is the desired product by neutralizing the addition salt.
