Abstract

1510020 Hosereels H H SMITH 22 Sept 1975 [26 Sept 1974] 38862/75 Heading B8M In a hosereel assembly, one end of a hollow axle 10 on which the winding hub 3 is rotatably mounted is located within an access recess formed between a removable cover plate 29 and a wall 6 whereat a rigid hose connector i.e. a bent tube 15 is connected to the axle end by sealing or packing means, Fig. 2 or 3 (not shown) which enables the connector to be rotated relative to the axle and with the reel whilst conveying liquid (to the wound hose) from the supply through an elbow joint 11, without leakage: the free end of the connector extends tangentially with respect to the hub and towards a contoured aperture 17 therein through which the connection to the hose is completed.
