Abstract

1451926 Making postal tubes E REVELL & SONS Ltd 15 Aug 1974 [31 Aug 1973] 41058/73 Heading B5D [Also in Division B8] The end of a cardboard tube 10 is deformed by means of blocks 30, 31 which pivot through an angle of 40 to 90 degrees to positions in a plane normal to the axis of the tube. The blocks 30, 31 are carried on brackets 34 pivoted at 32, 33 respectively. The blocks form two diametrically opposite, flat, approximately rectangular portions (11, 12), Fig. 1 (not shown), in the tube, which have a width less than the diameter of the tube, the width being measured between the ears (16, 17) of the tube so formed.
