Abstract

1509591 Agitator mills NETZSCH MASCHINENFABRIK Gebr 25 March 1975 12539/75 Heading B2A An agitator mill has stirring disks 6 arranged obliquely on the shaft 5 with radial disks 7 between them Fig. 1. The usual media separator 10 is provided and the mill has a cooling jacket and may include an inner line of synthetic rubber, enamel or ceramic material. The grinding media are typically 0.1 to 5mm diameter glass ceramics synthetic resin, with a typical sand or metal. The agitator elements or some of them may be cooled by an agent circulated within them via a hollow shaft, Fig. 4. Each element may include a partition 14 which may be grooved or corrugated. The mill container may /be of circular or of a triangular shape section. A system may include two mills 24, Fig. 7 with coolers 16 and a levelling tank 17. Circulation is via a pump 18 and ground material is drawn off via a regulating valve 19.
