Abstract

1509376 Valves WDM Ltd 18 July 1975 [18 July 1974] 31728/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division F1] In a gas ballast valve for a vacuum pump a tube 24, which is normally biased by a spring 28 into contact with an inlet spigot 56 to supply gas ballast to a pumping chamber 50, is raised above the oil level 54 on energization of a solenoid 40 to allow oil to be drawn into the chamber 50.
