1508399 Spring upholstery YOUNGFLEX S A 13 Aug 1976 [13 Aug 1975] 33884/76 Heading A4M A structure for supporting a seat or backrest cushion comprises a flat cushion support 13 supported by springs 16 between sides 12 of a seat frame, the support comprising longitudinal side members 14A inter-connected by cross-members 15, an edge frame 17 located above the support 13 and including longitudinal side edge wire portions 17A spaced laterally outwards of the side members 14A, a plurality of spring limbs 19 of spring elements 18 clipped, at 21, to the side members 14A, the limbs 19 extending to the edge wire portions 17A to support them resiliently, and a plurality of two limbed spring elements 50 each having a first limb 54 extending between a side member 14A and an edge wire portion 17A and a second limb 51 extending laterally outwards from a side member 14A and having a free end 52 securable to the seat frame sides 12. Foam rubber or plastics cushions may be provided.
