Abstract
1507805 Tape cable connector KABELWERKE REINSHAGEN GmbH 21 July 1976 [21 July 1975] 30312/76 Heading H2E In a device for connecting a tape cable 10 to a contact 7 of an electrical unit, e.g. an incandescent lamp 1, the cable is located in a casing by being bent 14 through 180 degrees and a stripped region (15, Fig. 2, not shown) of the cable in the bent portion bears upon the contact. The cable runs over a latch-shaped member 9 whose sharp end 13 is located in an aperture 12 in the cable. The lamp is fixed by a bayonet retainer 2a in a metal socket 2 and an insulating collar 4 provided with the latch-shaped member 9 is biased upwardly by spring 6. A screw socket can be employed in place of the bayonet socket snd if the cross-member 9 is resilient the spring 6 may be omitted. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 3 and 4, not shown) a double filament lamp (21) is electrically connected to a tape cable (29) having two conductors and passing through slits (25, 26) in a resilient disc (23) crimped into a metal housing (22). The cable (29) is held in place by two bent arms (35, 36) located in troughs (27, 28) in the disc and a barb (33) on the end of the cable under the disc. The stripped portions (37, 38) of the conductors may be strengthened by solder or rivets. Alternatively the electrical unit may be a fuse or a switch.
