Abstract

1506757 Paint - coating apparatus ATOM CHEMICAL PAINT CO Ltd 26 June 1975 [5 Sept 1974 26 March 1975] 27087/75 Heading B2L Apparatus for painting lines on roads comprises a paint supply means I including a valve 3 and two parallel rows of opposed orifices 14 Fig. 4, a paint tank 2 above the supply means to feed paint thereto, a pair of roller brushes or the like each having bristles 5 Fig. 3 or projections 5a Fig. 5 arranged to counter rotate inwardly and a pair of cover members 6 for the rollers each connected at one end to the paint supply means and at the other end each having an edge adjacent the bottom of the respective roller. In operation the brushes are driven at about 5000 r.p.m. The tank may include a heat protective plate 15 Fig. 5, and the casing 16 may include an exhaust port 16a, 17a and a heat - insulating lining 17. A heater pipe 19 is provided together with a fire preventing bottom plate 18.
