Abstract
1506671 Electrophonic musical instruments THOMAS INTERNATIONAL CORP 14 Jan 1976 [6 March 1975] 01388/76 Heading G5J In an electronic musical instrument wherein a digital word is generated in response to the activation of a keyswitch 20 to determine the frequency of pulses to be output as a tone signal, chords are produced utilizing a multiplexing circuit 30 to cause signals corresponding to the notes of a chord to be output from chord selector circuits 25 in time sharing manner. Each signal is applied to a diode matrix 36 to determine an 8-bit word which is stored in a latching circuit 40 of the appropriate tone generator channel. A pulse is output from comparator 44 of each channel each time the number of accumulated clock pulses in counter 46 equals the word in latch 40, the pulse sequence thereby generated, forming the tone signal. A lowest key priority circuit 21 may be included in the keyboard.
