1506507 Manufacturing a concrete product ALFONG BETONGHARDNINGSMEDEL AB 12 Dec 1975 [23 Dec 1974] 51096/75 Heading C1H [Also in Division B5] A concrete product is manufactured by preparing a concrete mixture containing sodium sulphate in an amount calculated as from 0À1-5% by weight, based on the cement, at 30 to 90 C., casting the concrete mixtures whilst at a temperature of 30 to 90 C. in a mould, and maintaining the cast concrete at this temperature for at least 2 hours. Silica having a particle size less than 10 microns in an amount of 0À05-6 wt. per cent based on the cement, and a wetting agent, e.g. lyotropic liquid crystal in an amount of 0À0002-1À0 wt. per cent based on the cement, may be present in the concrete mixture. In the examples, concrete mixtures comprising cement, gravel, macadam, sodium sulphate and water, and concrete mixtures comprising cement, gravel, macadam, water and an additive comprising an aqueous solution of sodium sulphate containing colloidal silica and a wetting agent of nonyl phenyl polyoxyethylene monoglycolether, were utilized.
