1505257 Moulding antistatic foam articles G D SEARLE & CO Ltd 5 Aug 1975 [7 Aug 1974] 34745/74 Heading B5A An antistatic seat cushion, mattress or other pad comprising a conductive skin and a foam plastics core is made by coating a lubricated mould cavity with polyurethane containing carbon black, and introducing foam plastics materia. into the cavity to unite with thecoating. A lacquer containing a linear polyurethane, carbon black and a quaternary ammonium salt is sprayed on to an open polyester mould coated with release agent. After drying and closing the mould a polyurethane foam mix is injected through a probe while it is withdrawn along the length of the mould. A selfskinning foam containing carbon black may be used.
