Abstract
It is intended to create a rotation-speed converter which is provided with an effective cooling device, on the one hand can be used under extreme conditions which could exert a damaging influence on its internal structure, and uses a coolant which does not adversely affect its functionality. Said converter has two rotors (4, 9; 5), which are arranged in one another, and an annular excitation coil (10) which surrounds said rotors and is in a fixed position. Provided for cooling the converter are two closed and mutually separated cooling circuits (14, 16; 17) of which the first (14, 16) is constructed in a toroidal shape inside the converter and runs entirely inside the converter, and the second (17) is supplied from the exterior, the converter having a pressure-resistant housing (8). The rotation-speed converter is used between a motor and a machine which is driven by said motor and conveys a fluid operating means, for example a pump, a compressor, a fan or the like. <IMAGE>
