Abstract

1503736 Portable containers ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 21 Feb 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 7274/75 Heading B8D [Also in Division H1] A sealing plug for a battery comprises a lid 20 made of synthetic material and provided with a screw thread. A container 21 is mounted in the plug and is filled with a catalyst 12 for recombining the hydrogen and oxygen gases evolved during operation of the battery. The gases pass through a glass wool filter 24 and holes 22 into the catalyst and the water formed by the catalyst is returned to the electrolyte 7 via a glass wool filter 25 and holes 23. A vent tube 27 is provided in the centre of the plug.
