The flanges without protrusions are preferably narrower than the other flanges and in a facing structure overlap the other flanges which are secured to the backing by means of pegs, screws or nails passing therethrough. Holes may be preformed in the flanges. In a vertical or inclined structure the flanges with the protrusions are placed at the top. The panels need not be rectangular parallelepipeds.
