1503203 Electric motor housing SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 13 May 1975 [23 July 1974] 20046/75 Heading H2A An electric motor housing has a cylindrical casing 10 with a circular end plate 20 fitted therein to close one end thereof, plate 20 being secured to casing 10 at a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart locations at each of which the plate periphery is pinched between a pair of indentations 11, 15 in the casing wall, the gap between indentations 11, 15 at each location changing from a width greater than to a width less than the end plate edge thickness as one passes along the gap. Each pair of indentations 11, 15 is at opposite sides of a slot 14, one or both of the plate-engaging surfaces 12, 13 of the identations having a ridged-roof shape. Indentations 11 may have a triangular shape, or may be formed by providing further slots parallel to and adjacent slots 14 and inwardly deforming the webs between each pair of a slot 14 and a further slot.
