Abstract

1502910 Forming fluoride coatings on metal blanks KABEL-UND METALLWERKE GUTEHOFFNUNG-SHUTTE AG 8 Dec 1975 50189/75 Heading C7U A lubricant coating is formed on a metal blank by treating at above 25‹C with an aqueous solution of HF and NaF. The preferred solution contains 0À5-5% NaF, 0À2-2À5% HF and an oxidizing agent such as H 2 O 2 , KNO 3 and ammonium peroxodisulphate. The coating is applied to steel or Al alloys prior to cold working.
