Abstract

1502794 Liquid toner concentrate PITNEYBOWES Inc 23 May 1975 [24 June 1974] 22761/75 Heading G2C The concentrate is prepared by blending 5-35% of a paste comprising carbon black predispersed in an inert vehicle which is soluble in a liquid hydrocarbon with 10-28% of a dispersing agent, 0-28% of a fixing resin, 0-2% of a dye and 45-75% of a liquid hydrocarbon, the percentages being based on the weight of the final concentrate. The concentrate is further diluted with the liquid hydrocarbon to provide working strength toner suspensions. Commercially available pastes of furnace black in mineral oil, and a paste formed from furnace black and a proprietary oil solution of a polyalkyl methacrylate, are exemplified.
