Abstract

1282892 Polymer compositions; electrostatographic developers RICOH KK 18 June 1969 [19 June 1968] 30910/69 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] Electrostatic image-developing compositions are obtained by (1) mixing a solution obtained by dissolving lg. of an anthraquinone acid dye in 100g. of a 3 % trimethylamine-naphthenic acid aqueous solution containing 3% by wt. of an acrylate copolymer, with 100g. of toluene for 10 mins., and dispersing the thus obtained paste in a petroleum hydrocarbon; (2) as in (1) but, using a styrene/methacrylic acid/butyl acrylate copolymer and (3) as in (1) using "spirit black" dissolved in triethylamine-stearic acid aqueous solution, and using an ethyl acrylate/vinyl benzoic acid/lauryl methacrylate copolymer.
