Abstract

1502278 Creep testing machine UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY 21 Oct 1975 [23 Oct 1974] 45766/74 Headings G1N and G1S A high temperature creep testing machine has a stirrup 15 associated with a specimen mounting means 13, a linear measuring transducer 18 being housed within the stirrup 15, and in use being mounted coaxially of the specimen 6 but remote therefrom. In use the transducer 18 is connected between the ends of the specimen as by pairs of diametrically opposed rods Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), each pair being connected to a respective clamp 7, 8 on the specimen. The abovementioned components are housed in an elongate chamber which is sealed by two pairs of bellows 11, 21 and co-operating fittings 4, 22.
