Abstract

1502194 Apparatus for introducing solid fillers into confectionary H LESCH 5 Nov 1975 [9 Nov 1974] 45849/75 Heading A2A Solid fillers 12 are fed from a storage bin 18 via an inspection zone 13 to a conveyer 9 comprising conveying members 21 which receive a predetermined number. of fillers in a predetermined array, and are brought into register with continuously moving moulds 3 containing a mouldable confectionary mass, when the fillers are discharged into the moulds. The fillers may be pressed into the mass after discharge. The conveyor which may be an oval endless track may be moved bodily in the direction of travel of the moulds during transfer of the filters therefrom. The fillers may be forcibly introduced and forcibly discharged from the conveying members. There may be coupling means to hold a conveying member and mould in register during the discharging period.
