1502133 Ribbed sheets for composite floors REDPATH DORMAN LONG Ltd 25 June 1976 [27 June 1975] 27344/75 Headings E1K and E1W A ribbed sheet, e.g. of steel, for forming a composite floor, by e.g. pouring concrete over the sheet, comprises a soffit surface 11, ribs 12 which are wider at a distance from the surface 11 than they are close to that surface. the height of the ribs being between a half and a fifth of their pitch and the width of the ribs at the soffit surface being between a third and a sixteenth of their pitch, and discrete projections 15 which extend over a central region of the top portion 14 of each rib at spaced intervals along the rib. The projections preferably have flat top surfaces, vertical end faces and inclined side faces. Reinforcing swages 17 may be provided between the ribs.
