Abstract

1499401 Drying webs BRADBURY SAUNDERS Ltd and J KENYON 21 March 1975 11955/75 Heading F4G An apparatus for applying a stream of hot air to a web, e.g. of wallpaper, comprises a stationary support 5, 7, 9, see also Figs. 2, 3 (not shown) and means 3 for directing hot air on to the web located on the side opposite to the support to press the web against the support. The apparatus shown comprises two ducts 1, 21, each having hot air outlets 3, 23 directed at a web passed round a roll 35 from roller 31, to roller 39, The supports comprise transverse rods 5, 9 mounted on bars 7, and they are adjustable relative to the air outlets by turning a wheel 15 connected by rod 17 and arms 19 to the bars 7. Air is recycled in a circuit which includes a heater and a fan.
