Abstract

Carrying along a screen printing stencil belt (20) and its guiding or control are to be facilitated in that at least one of the rollers (21, 22, 23) serving for guiding the screen printing stencil belt has a structured surface which is produced by roughening by cording, knurling, grooving or even by sandblasting. In particular when one of the rollers (21, 22, 23) serves for the lateral repeat adjustment of the stencil belt, the advantage of precise carrying along of the screen printing stencil belt (20) on the structured roller or rollers becomes noticeable. The structured surface can additionally have a coating, e.g. be sprayed with stainless steel or have a layer of rubber or plastic. Additionally, the structuring can be placed in such a way that structuring has a spreading effect on the screen printing stencil belt in that, for example, the grooves are placed on the outer surface of the roller so as to spread apart from the centre of the roller length. <IMAGE>
