Abstract

1499158 Pressurized dispensing containers AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT SA 9 Sept 1975 [10 Sept 1974] 36977/75 Heading F1R The outer periphery of the sealing gasket 10 between the head 11 of the container of a pressurized dispenser and the rim 9 of a dished valve mounting cup 3 is notched as at 14 so that the projected radial width of the gasket at that point is equal to not substantially more than half the radial width L of the rim, so that when the internal pressure becomes excessive and the valve cup distorts fluid may escape at the notched portion of the gasket. The gasket may also be notched in the inner periphery. A plurality of alternating inner and outer notches may be provided.
